Taproom Theatre Productions

Outside of education Paul is a writer and theatre producer, founding Taproom Theatre Productions in Wakefield in 2011, and successfully curating ‘Plays and Pints Festival’ several years since.

Taproom Theatre Productions aim to

  • provide accessible, inclusive and engaging Theatre experiences in non traditional theatre venues.
  • support independent theatre makers and provide a platform for new and innovative work
  • promote local independent enterprise wherever possible.

Plays & Pints is a multi-venue, multi-performance event that took place in none traditional theatrical spaces (pubs, working men’s clubs, promenade / pop-up events in the streets of Wakefield).

Highlights have been bringing the local performer Luke Dickson’s solo show, ‘The Great Dixoni’, Fringe First award winners Kieran Hurley and Gary McNair to Wakefield and being part of the ‘Educating Ronnie’ tour by Joe Douglas.
